We live where kidnappings aren't news, and I live near a court that is mostly housing people of sexual assaults, molestation and what not. I've never trusted anyone but her, but when she cheated the glass cracked. Were now 2 hours away (very close compared to the previous scale) and I feel like if there wasnt this one thing bothering her, we would be okay. In july we are also moving to VA beach. In August she is going to canada, for some girl she met online. shes talked to her for about 4 years, almost everyday. Shes helped her through quite a bit, but Im still her first go to. Mind you, it sound very very bad. Canada for someone she met online? with 4 brothers no mom? anyway.

That is the first time I heard of this. I mean I can see how it is possible, but if your house is safe, it is rare it can happen. But I always keep my dog's collar on. Honestly, when you are gone is the most important time they should wear it. If something was to happen such as someone breaking into your home, a natural disaster where you cannot get your pet, or something like that happened, when someone finds your dog they know who to contact. When you are home, it is less likely (though still possible) for your dog to get out because you are around him. When you are out of the house, that is when most dogs escape and need their collars the most.

My MIL has been acting crazy since day 1. For example, when we decided to get married my MIL didnt like the color we chose for the wedding becuase it would clash with her red hair so she pitched a tantrum and refused to come until we changed it. Anytime she doesnt get her way about something she pitches such a huge fit and makes my wife miserable. Right after we got married we moved about 2 1/2 hrs away and my MIL hated it. one day she took off of work and drove to my wifes office without telling us. When she got there she wanted my wife to take off for lunch but she had just gotten back from lunch and couldnt leave. My MIL started screaming and cursing. "I would never work for a F_cking place that would let me leave when I want to." It got so bad that the president of the company threatened to call the police. This has gone on for years and now my wife will give her mother her way just because she is afraid of the tantrum she will pitch. This has gotten to a point where it controls our lives. Now we have 2 children and I refuse to let me daughters see this as an acceptable relationship. On Father's Day 2 years ago we had to have the sheriffs dept come to my house. She literally through herself in the floor and cussed and screamed and kicked people all because my 2 year old was taking a nap and we should have been better prepared and had her awake when she got there. More recently, she has felt the need to bad mouth my wife and i in front of our children and has even told my wife that she needed to leave me and kick me out of the house because I am a troublemaker. All in front of our children. I will not under any circumstances accept this. I will not allow her around my children unsupervised. My wife recognizes that there is a problem but wont confront her mom or stand up to her becuase of the tantrum that her mother will throw. This is all very hard for me to deal with because I dont feel the need to stay stuck to my family. I dont need them around every holiday or make decisions regarding my family based on them. My thoughts are to move very far away and not give her our new information but I am not sure that will actually resolve this issue. Additionally, they have always treated my wife like trash. When we decided to get married they did not like it cause we were 20 years old. They cut her off completely. Took away the car they gave her when she was 16, cut off her phone and made things so much more difficult on us. They would stay at our apartment when they would visit and complain how bad our stuff was. No matter what my wife does it isnt good enough. My brother in law is nearly 7 years younger and no matter what he does its wonderful. He is 25 hasnt greaduated college (my wife has her masters) and parties and drinks all the time. He even has 2 DUI's When he turned 15 they bought him a new 4x4 truck. At 15 he stole the keys and was arrested for driving without a license, breaking city curfew and for littering. At 16 he wanted a new truck so he got it. at HS gaduation he wanted a $70k car and guess what he got it. He has no license but they still let him drive cause the cop was picking on him when he got the DUI and didnt really do anything wrong. When my wife graduated from college she jokingly asked her mom so what do I get for graduation and they replied we spent too much money on your brother we cant afford to give you anything. I really want to tell my MIL to F off but the other half of me feels like this is something that my wife needs to do or she will resent me for it. I do however refuse to let my daughters be treated this way. I see my mother in law trying to manipulate my 4 year old by making her feel guilty but so far it hasnt worked. We have worked very hard to raise our girls to be confident and strong willed. for example, my MIL showed up and we had company. My 4 year old was playing with her friend and my MIL was like you need to stop playing with him and come talk to me. when my 4 y/o said Im busy my MIL started crying and was going on about how you dont love me and you are so mean to granny. my 4y/o looks up with her head ****** and said you need to act like a big girl. Why do people deny the theory of evolution?

Seriously, do they devote even five minutes to the study of evolutionary theory before stating that there's no way it can be true? It really seems like the most valid argument I can find basically boils down to "It's too hard for me to understand the scientific principles behind evolution, so I have to attribute it to god". Is that it? Starting to get very ANNOYED with husband?

So in the beginning I turned him down for dates because he smoked weed, popped pills, and had no job. We eventually had a date after he stopped smoking and taking illegal pills and enlisted in the USAF along with me. A couple years later while I was pregnant he had a few friends that lived on base with a military spouse who smoked weed, I started suspecting he was smoking as well even though he denied it, then I found a pill on the floor in our house and after researching it I found out what it was. Later he tells me (like a dumb ***) that he put a blunt to his mouth and never smoked it but every time he has a surprise drug test he drinks gallons and gallons of water before he has to be up there to take the test. To top this all off (we are no longer in the service) he went and smoked some weed last night and then today (Sunday) the bank is closed, he has no money and takes gas money from our sons piggy bank. I am really ANGRY. He barely helps with our son and he lies about silly things even when I know the truth he still tells the lie until he finally is wore out and then he doesn't understand when I tell him that I can't trust anything he says. I applied for an internship at this large construction company in new york city, got an interview which went great and on the application it asks if I have ever been convicted of anything more than a minor traffic violation i checked yes and put down criminal mischief which is a misdemeanor. First she got a restraining order claiming she is afraid of me, then when we went to court she could not prove any of her allegations, so the judge gave me unsupervised visits and ordered both of us to go to parenting classes. We go back in a few weeks and the judge said weekends and overnights will be on the table. He wants our son to have both of us in his life. He did keep a restraining order for his mother and myself, so that we can only communicate about our son, which is good because I do not want to talk to her about anything else. There is no criminal charges related to the restraining order. I have never been, arrested, accused, or charged with any. The judge sees that she and I cannot get along, so he gave us a year apart from communicating. Now she called a Social worker who interviewed both of us and our son (he is 5). The Social Worker called me today claiming that a report had been made that my son came home with marks on his elbow and butt after our visit and that he said, "It's mine and Daddy's secret". He tripped on the stairs and received a very minor cut that did not even bleed. I cleaned it and put Neosporin and a Band-Aid. The Social Worker is interviewing our son again and I am awaiting her call back. The cops were never called through out our eight years together. she never made mention of any abuse to her or our son until she ended our relationship. I have no criminal record. Is there any way I can legally protect myself in my partner's custody case?

My fiance is currently going through a very nasty custody battle and has put in an application for shared residence to stop his x partner cutting contact with his children as and when she feels like it. Of course she has opposed it and gone for full residency and has since launched into a very nasty hate campaign against me as his partner. We live together along with my own ten-year-old son and had his children half the week, every week up until he applied for a shared residence, then his x started to cut contact amongst other things to try and make her case for full residency stronger. She is doing everything in her power to strenghthen her case and is using me as a tool to try and do this. We currently have contact cut and have not seen the children for a month because I am not allowed to have any contact with the kids and neither is my son. That makes it very difficult as we live together and neither of us want to end our relationship. But his x has stated that if he wants to resume contact with his children then either he has to move out or me and my son have to move out of our family home. Before we applied for a shared residence his x was happy for me to look after the children unsupervised as and when, but since the application is making me out to be unsuitable to be around her children. She refers to me as a child neglegtor and has called the police on me twice,the first time over a Facebook comment which was totally unrelated to her or anything to do with the case and then secondly for supposidley harrassing her, when all I have done is contact her when she has sent vile messages to me. I suppose what I want to know is, can she use me as a tool in her fight for full residency and can I legally protect myself from being used in court when I am not there to defend myself, because to be fair this shouldn't be about whether she likes me or not and is finding it hard to move on, it should be between my partner and her and the future of their kids, I shouldn't even be brought into the argument, but she is trying to bring me in at every point she can. The final hearing is at the end of this month and I am dreading it. Anybody who has any advice or suggestions on what will be the outcome of all this and if there is anything I can do to stop this from happening I would really appreciate it. Thanks

honstly I would just tell the truth. As hard as it is, you will be happier in the end. You are hurting yourself with all the guilt you are carrying with you. If you dont love this new girl, you should not be with her. Try talking to the other one, and work things out. Also if you go to aa meetings, maybe you can see your daughter unsupervised once you prove you are done with drinking and drugs. A child is more important than any drug. If I'm on probation and plead guilty to drunk in public Will the time I served for my first charge be counted?

I live in Virginia and here a drunk in public is a prepayable fine.... If I pay it I know I'll be considered guilty. I'm on UNSUPERVISED probation for a reckless handling of a firearm charge. I spend the night in jail on the drunk in public charge and was released. If I pay the fine and am found guilty am my probation is revoked can they make me serve the whole sentance including the time I already served? I was given 60 days total and am considered to have served 20.(It was cut in half for good behavior) So I'm looking at 40 days the judge suspended. If I am found guilty of a probation violation can he make me serve 60 days even though I technically already served 20 and only have 40 days hanging over my head? And can these be cut in half? Also does anyone even know if a prepayable offense(in VA an offense that does include jail time) can violate parole? Anyone who has any idea I would greatly appreciate your response. Thank you!

Well the concept of evolution can be applied to many different situations. Biologically speaking I believe our ability to assess our existence is positive because it paves the way for many other types of evolution, such as culture, which you are speaking of. Today's culture has evolved in an interesting way in which the gaining of wealth and fortune seem to be a main goal to many. This goal sets others on deferring paths to obtain this goal. Whether someone tries to gain money by treating patients with medicine or by construction weapons of war, the goal remains the same and our society warps how one tries to reach it. When the majority of people understand that fact that we must work together to survive, then I believe our cultural evolution will have been positive. And I dont want to go back upstairs because of what they did to me. I hate my parents, and I dont know what to do. I cant run away, I have no place to live or. Please, help me. I think hate would be a strong word for me, because if someone said a book was beyond good I would probably give it a shot no matter what. I have a friend who is separated from her husband and is wanting to obtain a divorce from him. She lives in Alabama has a 2 year old daughter and is also fighting for full custody of the child. The man has physically abused her constantly in the past and tormented her daughter while they were together and she left him and went to Texas for a few months. She recently came back about a month ago because he called her wanting her back (which was a lie). He is wanting custody of the child, although he had nothing to do with her to begin with even while they were in Texas. He is a crack addict and in her terms deemed unfit to father her. He has tried several times to take away the child and they both have restraining orders against each other. She has the child on a safety plan through DHR and can't be with her unsupervised until she is deemed worthy as a parent by them (has a full time job and a home). She recently went to a consultation with a lawyer and he told her that it would be cheaper on her to get him to sit down and agree to a divorce settlement out of court but he will not do such for her. It is gonna take a lot of money that she does not have to take him to court and fight him for the divorce and custody of the child. The man is stubborn and she thinks he is out to make her life more complicated. She wants to get out of her marriage as quickly and easily as possible without having to pay so much money to do so.

Is it okay to let my rats run around unsupervised if I...?

I have 2 female rescue rats, Sunshine is 1.5 years old and Hiccup is 1 year old. I let them run around my room, and I hide treats all over for them to find (Healthy treats like cheerios, pumpkin seeds, dehydrated veggies/dried fruit, oats, barley,dog food, dog biscuits, sunflower seeds, etc.) And I made them a clubhouse out of cardboard boxes that they love to play/sleep in. I have completely cleaned my room, and unplugged all electrical cords and placed them out of reach. I covered my bed in a sheet as well. The only things they can get to is their cage, and underneath the dresser/bed/table and their clubhouse. I also put tunnels/toys out for them to play with. The thing is, I can't stay in my room all the time. Is it okay to let them be in their unsupervised, with the door closed, for some periods of time? I will of course come in and check on them but do I have to be there all the time? Also, how much food should I give them? I have been giving them free choice Harlan Teklad lab blocks, and about 1/4 cup fresh fruit/veggies daily. (along with the healthy treats--about 1/8 cup or so). They don't usually finish all the fresh food, and sometimes they aren't even hungry for the treats. Should I be feeding them less?

They aren't going to test you before you are found guilty and given probation. Shortly after you are put on probation you will be subject to drug testing. If you fail your probation will be pulled and you will go back to court.

How to get my cat to ignore my puppy?

I have a 10 month old Pom/chi and two cats that're about to turn 17.One of them, Tabitha, gets along fine with the puppy. They were even snuggling tonight. But Tigger hates her. I mean I have had to prevent her from trying to kill the dog, and she's significantly bigger than than the dog as well. The dog leaves her alone and only plays with Tabitha. Tigger will go after her just because she sees her. Tigger's been violent to the other two dogs we've had since we had her too, but they were border collies and big enough to defend themselves. Tigger used to sleep on my chest when I was little, and I'd like to buy them pet stairs to get up to my bed at night and let them in my room again but I'm afraid Tigger will hurt the puppy in the night, and Oreo has to be shut in my room at night becaue she isn't trustworthy with unsupervised run of the house, so she sleeps cuddled up to me. Plese help me I don't want to go to jail!!!?

Okay, so about a year ago. There was a big fight between my sister and my uncle. And my uncle raised his hand to hit her and I pushed him, threatened to **** him up, this and that. (You know how people get when they get angry and black out.) Alright so I got court for that. They gave me supervised probation for 6 months.(They was thinking about 5, but the 5 would've been unsupervised and less money for me to pay and less money they got out of it.) Anyways so then on the way about 6 months later... I picked up another charge for trying to impress my friends. I stole my mom's car. I know I didn't cross wrong lanes. But they hit me with marked lanes, OUI, possession of a dangerous weapon, driving with no seatbelt, and unlicensed operation. So I was in court for that blah dee doo. And I completely forgot about my court case. Now I've been on the run for about two months now, because I know I have two warrants.(For both cases.) Because I missed both the cases, one case was supposed to be dropped which was the probation one. That was a minor offense cause I was going to juvenile court for that. Now that's not my issue. The issue is I missed my adult court date and I'm afraid to go in because I'm scared they will arrest me. I don't want to go to jail, and I don't really know if they're going to hit me with a lot of jail time. Can someone PLEASE tell me if I will get jail time for this? Btw they can't prove the OUI, and the seatbelt thing. Please someone tell me what's the best, and worst possible outcome if I go into court?

How to help my 10 month old improve her potty habits?

We decided to train her to use a grass pad and piddle pads rather than train her to go outside. She also gets a 30-60 minute walk per day depending on the weather. I know this can be done because my stepmother's aunt has a whole herd of poodles and yorkies and chihuahuas and maltese that are 100% with their potty, and my dog was doing great too, till it kind of fell by the wayside when we were caring for my ferret (she later died), and than I suddenly got a slew of modeling jobs and wasn't home much for a couple months. Now she acts like she doesn't know what to do with her potty and its hit or miss with her pad. We're steam cleaning my carpet to get rid of the smells and scrubbing the wood floor and starting from scratch. She's crated when unsupervised and I keep her on a leash in the house and rush her to her pad when she tries to squat. The thing is, she seems to rather go anywhere else, including her beds and crate (although she won't on my bed where she sleeps at night) She's very smart-picks up most tricks in a single short session-but is having issues with this. I got her to pee on it once last night and made an ENORMOUS fuss but can't get her to again. I know it's MY fault, not hers, but how can I help her get back to good habits?

How long until my cat and kitten can be around each other unsupervised?

I brought my new 8-week-old kitten home two days ago. I separated them instantly, the kitten in my bedroom and the cat in the rest of the house. The kitten didn't take any time to adjust. He started eating, drinking, and using the litter on his own within the hour. Because he was adjusting so well I brought him out to meet my cat. They hissed and batted at each other lightly a bit but that was done quickly. Today is their second day together and my older cat is cleaning and gently playing with my kitten. There hasn't been any growling at all. I still keep the kitten in my room at night and keep them around me or my room mates when they're together, but they seem so good together. When would it be okay for them to be left alone together?

Rules of Conditional Discharge in NJ.?

I have been placed on conditional discharge (unsupervised probation) by the court in NJ for possession and paraphernalia. I know i will have to take random drug tests and stay clean for a year. But my questions is that will I get in trouble if i consume alcohol and get drug tested after. I am under 21 so i know im not supposed to be drinking but if i do drink and get tested the day after or something is it considered a violation?

I believe that you have every right to call law enforcement. That man AND his dog is endangering both your pets and you. You should not have to tolerate that. You supervise your pets and as long as they are on your property that man has no reason to complain or try to "defend" himself. Even if your dogs do bark at his dog that is no reason for the physical abuse he has committed. Take immediate action but try to get evidence first.
