What do you do about dads who won't let you do anything?

for example, i can't sit in the front yard unsupervised because i'll get kidnapped. i can't learn to ride a bike, because then i'd want to ride around on it (duh, what else would i do with it?) and supposedly most girls under 18 who get kidnapped were riding their bikes when they disappeared (wtf, dad?), i can't walk around the block by myself because i'll get kidnapped, and if i want to go somewhere with a group of friends the first thing my dad asks is "whose parents are going to be with you?" haha, and he wonders why i set up a facebook account without permission...... :) bottom line is, I know that the world isn't chock of people waiting for any opportunity to hurt me. i just wish that HE could see that too! besides, in just a few years i'm going to be going places and doing things independently, and my dad WON'T know where i am and what i'm doing, and he WON'T know who (if anyone) i'm with, so i think we should both get used to the idea and reality of me (gasp) opening the front door and stepping out onto the porch without mommy or daddy.
