Jail / rehab questions. advice please?

my husband went to jail sat night for domestic battery and child cruelty in the third degree since our son was present during out fight.he was on unsupervised probation for something totally diff from that.now hes in jail with no bond and cannot afford an attorney but will have a public defender appointed to him soon.you might think i sound retarted but i dont want to leave my husband or husband or have him stay in jail. he is actually actually a really great dad and suoer sweet husband, when hes not withdrawing from hydros. he is addicted to those evil pills and he seirously wants to quit but he is very hooked on them. is there any way i can try to get him sent to rehab instead of staying in jail? im not taking up for him bc i feel hitting me was wrong esp with our son present. but i know the real him off those pills and he is not like that at all. any advice on what i should do? no negative comments i am not the retarted victim girl who just wants to let her husband off the hook. i just want him cleaned up and to b a part of my and his sons life.
